We are looking for an Accountant to assist our client’s Accounting Section in preparing financial statements for clients, while having due regard to the client’s needs, acknowledging statutory requirements and adhering to the Trust Group’s high standards.
Your responsibilities will include: drafting financial statements, audit computerised accounting records prior to the preparation of financial statements, review the minute books, statutory records, trust documents and correspondence files of the clients of the Trust Group for which financial statements are prepared.
Where necessary, you will liaise with auditors to facilitate their work and requirements, assist in the training of staff by passing on specialist knowledge, review exception reports on a daily basis and clear exceptions arising, and problem solving/accounting queries.
Your qualifications and skills include: strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems, strong knowledge of the preparation of financial statements for Trusts and Companies, good communication and presentation skills, with knowledge of Guernsey’s regulatory environment.
