We have a great opportunity for a data protection expert to join a leading offshore law firm to play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation’s compliance with data protection laws and regulations. The data protection manager will support In-House Legal and Information Security on a variety of group related data protection matters. The responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining strategies that safeguard data assets against unauthorised access, disclosure, alternation or destruction. Also, ensuring that data handling practices align with legal requirements and internal policies.
All candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience in data protection or privacy role, ideally within legal, compliance or IT security environment. Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT or a related field is required as a minimum qualification. Comprehensive knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and other relevant legislation is necessary, as well as strong understanding of information technology and data management systems.
